8.1 The inspector shall:
- open readily openable access panels.
- inspect:
- installed heating equipment.
- vent systems, flues, and chimneys.
- describe:
- energy source(s).
- heating systems.
8.2 The inspector is NOT required to:
- inspect:
- interiors of flues or chimneys that are not readily accessible.
- heat exchangers.
- humidifiers or dehumidifiers.
- electronic air filters.
- solar space heating systems.
- determine heat supply adequacy or distribution balance.
